On Tuesday, crude oil prices increased, supported by expectations of a US stimulus to assist in initiating the world’s largest oil consumer, a rebound in Asian demand as economies reopen.
Brent crude added 0.6%, to $45.28 a barrel, by 0819 GMT. West Texas Intermediate US crude increased 0.9%, to $42.32 a barrel. US President Donald Trump tweeted that elite democrats of congress wanted to set a meeting with him to discuss the coronavirus-related economic relief. The talks between the Trump administration and the Democrats took place last week.
Indications of Asian oil demand recovering also enhanced prices.
